GREEEEEEETINGS! :DDD
Yes yes hello my dears. :) *waves* I've arrived in one piece in good ol' Taipei! The plane ride was smooth, despite being cooped in the window seat with two hunky men sitting beside. :/ No biggie on that, when considering what happened afterward - Idiotically stood I by the conveyer belt, neck craned in desperation and just waiting for my luggage to roll out. And just
that took
one whole freakin' hour. @%!$@*&^$@... 'Nuff said.
Anyway I was glad to see my grandma and aunt when I finally stepped out of the customs, and there began the usual catching-up and commenting of how much we've changed from last time. For me - Physically, a bit? Mentally, still sane? :S
Then we spent the rest of the evening lolling around and unpacking and chit-chatting and yada yada - stuff you'd do on your first night (!) to settle down. Sunday was dandy fine and basically a day for jalan jalan-ing!
The good:
OMGhowthehelldidtheymakethingssokawaiiyetnotdisgustinglycute?? :O There are hints of Japanese culture everywhere ie. (economical XD) bento lunches being sold at 7-11, high-school girls in knee-high socks and bling-ing from head to toe, high-school boys donning spiky hair and up-to-date accessories and gothic shirts that bear skulls and grim reapers and tarantulas etc., service/lift ladies bowing (too much) and beckoning customers in a nasal voice and close to falsetto pitch. O_O BUT, all's very refreshing and it's nice to jump out of Singlish once in a while and be surrounded by sleek Taiwanese mandarin...Which will become my first and sole language for the coming month. :/ (I'll miss the 'lor' and 'lah' and 'meh' quite some bit. TT_TT On second thoughts, hm, this might be a good chance to cure my flawless singlish.)
The bad: OMG. The temperature is: *drumrolls* 31 deg. C! *sighs* So much for hoping for a lil' late Spring breeze! T_T
Hoho, but all's good and all's well! :D It's monday morn and here I'm hogging my aunt's com to contribute to blogosphere! Well, I doubt I'll get connected much since I'm staying over at my grandma's and it's unwired, but I'll jump at every opportunity to link with the world~ XD
It's very vital you know, this internet thing. :)
P.S. I probably won't be able to type Chinese characters because...I know nuts about zhu4 yin1 fu2 hao4! TTT___TTT Though now's a good time to learn, agree not?
