I'll miss those times -
1) Typing away at the brightly lit intern section (sometimes frantically, sometimes relaxedly, sometimes distractedly O_O), with earphones plugged on and stealthy window browsers of Facebook and YouTube minimised.
2) Checking emails from associates and firms regarding dry commercial writeups, and end up laughing at their incredulous content proposals or groaning at all the information overload, before begrudgingly beginning on yet another half-hearted piece of work.
3) Traipsing along Baidu, Google, Yahoo etc. for interesting and constructive fillers, and mostly being left in awe over discoveries, like how tea-leaf eggs are detrimental to health and fungi can help unclog arteries.
4) Laughing away with colleagues over gossips, nonsense and anything under the sun.
5) When my editor rushes over from her cosy cubicle heatedly, usually because of i) inappropriate article presentations, ii) incomprehensible content being submitted to her, iii) missing picture attachments, iv) the need for random conversations, v) her forgetting where she's heading to.
6) Sampling complimentary mooncakes/genetically engineered food/hand cream/whatnots from companies...and sometimes do some badmouthing while we're at it.
7) Reporting ten minutes late, stealing an extra half hour for lunch and skipping homeward an hour early. (No no, NOT on the same day.)
8) Interviewing %@$!#^+&!*= people (doctors, practitioners, what have you) who always fling me the condescending glare that interns deserve to receive, because well, we are but inexperienced green horns incapable of producing anything spectacular.
9) Seeing the photographers opposite me bustling in and out with their bulky cameras, cropping and cutting and glamming up pictures due for publishing in their 30-inch Apple computers while having to cram last minute photoshoots into their canned-sardine like schedule.
10) Just, being there.
So today kinda marks my final day at SPH...I'll miss the good times and the bad, the kind and the unpleasant, the fun and the drudgeries. Till next time, I wish everyone keeps well. Adieu~ (*^ー^)ノ
